Nicolas Laloux, Travelling Gentleman, Cabernet Sauvignon, Canada

As we continue the month of ‘Wines Under $10’, we bring to you the Nicolas Laloux, Cabernet Sauvignon. With its simple, quaint, yet artisan enough wine label, we could not help but include this Canadian steal in this month’s review rotation.

The colour of this Cabernet Sauvingnon is a deep and rich ruby red.  On the nose, you pick up hints of plum, cherry and black currant, while on the palate, you note an array of berries, with a simple sprinkle of anise to give it that rounded, but complex taste. For the price, this is a decent wine and one that will go back on my ‘buy again’ list.

Nicolas Laloux, Travelling Gentleman, Cabernet Sauvignon is the kind of wine that would fit nicely on a restaurants wine list, as it goes great with fish, pork, most hard cheeses, through to lamb chops, for example.  It is a must try if experimenting with good value wines.

The Nicolas Laloux, Cabernet Sauvignon retails in the LCBO for $8.95
