Our Vegas Must Eat & Drink Choices

As some of you know, we just returned home from our little visit to Las Vegas, and as I explained in an earlier post, Vegas is always one of my yummy food trips that I like to take, several times throughout the year.  It seems that monthly, some hot new or established chef is heading up a restaurant project, somewhere on the strip, making it fit for a foodie trip, once a year.  Now, though most of my time in Las Vegas was spent working on marketing and sales strategies with a client, I did fit in a few good food and drink finds.

Dim Sum Anyone?

If you are a Dim Sum fan, do not, I repeat, do not leave Vegas without heading to Zine restaurant in the Palazzo.  Be warned, however, that their noodle soups are enough to feed four.  We made the mistake of ordering our own soups, along with some of the traditional Dim Sum dishes and as a result, had to be rolled out of the restaurant.  Nonetheless, I rolled out quite satisfied.  It was worth every calorie.

Trusted Steakhouse

I will admit, though I go to Vegas to try different restaurants, I always end up at N9ne Steakhouse at the Palms.  The good thing about N9ne is that they not only produce fabulous steak dishes, but their seafood and wine lists are fantastic.  The wine list if fit for any wine snob and for anyone just looking to add a memorable grape to their dinner.  Even the most inexpensive wine on their list is a well thought out addition.  We had the 2006 Domaine Sébastian Magnien Beaune 1er Cru, a Pinot Noir unrivalled.

Kick Butt Cocktails

Picture it; it’s a Saturday afternoon, and you’ve been shopping in Vegas since your last swallow at breakfast, six hours ago.  It’s not yet time for dinner or even time to retire to your hotel room to get ready for dinner.  So, what do you do? Head to Parasol Up, at the Wynn for afternoon cocktails.  This little resort lounge, fantastically blends decor and an unbeaten cocktail list that is sure to have you look at your watch midway through, and wonder where all the time has gone.  I promise you, you will be contentedly surprised at your experience here.

In closing, no, I did not run into Prince Harry and the infamous naked billiards group, though we were there at the same time.  If I did, this post’s focus would have been far different… trust me.  Nonetheless, above are just a few of my Vegas must do’s, eat and drink, but I have a ton more at my disposal.  Feel free to drop me a line if you need them.
