If you’ve been following me on Twitter, then you’ll know that I just finished reading the House of Mondavi, and so, to celebrate the read, I decided it only fitting to indulge on a Mondavi wine, Robert Mondavi’s, Private Selection Chardonnay, 2011, was formidable celebratory wine choice.
On colour, you’ll notice a deep golden hue that comes off as surprising, considering its vintage. On the nose, you get a strong sense of citrus, dill and apricot, withlight oak scents. On the palate, you’ll discover hints of lime, notable acidity, smokiness, and some anise. An immensely complex tasting wine, with a decent finish, making it a suitable and worthy, regularly purchased white wine.
