Banrock Station Chardonnay
Here comes our 4th wine featured in this months Wines That Give Back series, and it comes from Banrock Station.  We’ve specifically selected their Unwooded Chardonnay for this post.

The Charitable Factor
Regardless of the type of wine, you purchase from Banrock Station, proceeds from the wine sale are donated to charities focusing on the environment.  To date they have supported over 95 projects in 13 countries. Some of their projects include things such as, restoring salmon to Lake Ontario in Canada, conservation of natural assets in the USA, through to the reintroduction of otters to the Netherlands.  Their labelling on the bottle is also made of recycled fibres, and we were lucky enough to get a bottle that was adorned with a reusable Banrock Station bag!Banrock Station Chardonnay

About the Wine
On colour, the Banrock Station Unwooded Chardonnay is a crisp, light wheat hue. On the nose, strong and fruit abundant aromas are noted.  Scents of, papaya, vanilla, candied green apple, and some spice.  On the palate, pear, green apple, and lemon lime served with notable acidity, give this wine a long lingering experience in the mouth.

This wine retails at the LCBO for $10.95

We gave this wine a 2.75 out of 5.
