For a few weeks now, I have been craving a good rosé; just ask my friends. I’ll admit, I did nothing really to find it, but when I did, I came across this rosé gem from Milbrandt Vineyard in Columbia Valley, Washington USA, called Traditions Rosé 2011, made from the Syrah grape.
On colour, the Milbrandt Vineyard Traditions Rosé 2011 holds an elegant coral salmon hue that is quite clear and almost mesmerizing On the nose, scents of vanilla, cherry, strawberry and pear are present and on the palate, nicely tempered acidity, blackberry, and strawberry ring through. Notes from the winemaker say, “this is our most exuberant and expressive Rosé to date”, and I tend to agree. Talk about a welcomed rosé experience, with a strong medium to long finish.
