You are never too old to learn of a new grape variety, hence our quest to get into this bottle of Luna Beberide Godello 2011, from Spain!
The Godello grape is a white wine grape found mostly in Galicia, the northwest side of Spain. Our Godello shown here today, however, comes from a region called Bierezo, found just outside Galicia.
On colour, the Luna Beberide Godello 2011 holds a golden wheat hue. On the nose, a smooth bouquet of violet and pear. On the palate, you’ll sense this wines well tempered acidity, lemon, green apple and slight minerality.
Though this was a pleasant wine, we felt something was missing from its structure.
