Spain is often spoken of in the world of wine with its Tempranillo or Rioja wines, but this Garnacha, from Bodegas Langa, stands as another great representation of wines from the country. The process undertaken by the winemakers to produce this Langa Garnacha 2011 makes one understand the root of the complexity found on the palate in the first sip.
On colour, the Langa Garnacha 2011 is a deep rosewood red. On the nose, you pick up strong hints of minerality and herbs, with only slight and barely noticed cherry. On the palate, you will be surprised that the feel of the wine is far more delicate than the nose. On the palate, you sense oak and some spice, but they are nicely tempered by the cherry hints also present. I would class this wine as a complex one, with a solid mouthfeel and a medium finish.
