Barefoot Pinot Grigio is the third wine in our Wines Under $10 feature this month.
I had forgotten, but a search of our archives brought to light that we’ve already reviewed both their Merlot and their Moscato wines, and both were pleasing, especially given their price. So, given our apparent history with Barefoot Wines, we were intrigued to see what their current Pinot Grigio would bring.
On colour, the Barefoot Pinot Grigio holds a light wheat appearance. On the nose, you’ll notice scents of green apple, pineapple and citrus. On the palate, tastes of lemon, pear, light mineral notes, tangerine and bouncy acidity that is fun and not overwhelming come to the forefront. The mouth feel is ended with a subtle creamy state.
I am not going to lie. The wines we’ve covered so far in ‘Wines Under $10’ have ended up in the office fridge for others to consume, but I think I will keep the Barefoot Pinot Grigio at home. A not bad taste and true value for the money.
This wine retails at the LCBO for $9.95
