Cono Sur Bicicleta Pinot Grigio 2014 is the fourth wine in our April Wines Under $10, which is turning out to be more of a challenge than our attempt at this three years ago.

Cono Sur Vineyards & Winery was founded in 1993, and is located in the southern most point of Chile, hence the companies name. The Spanish phrase ‘cono sur’ translates to the ‘Southern Cone’, a name often used to represent the southern lands of South America.

On colour, the Cono Sur Bicicleta Pinot Grigio 2014 holds a pale golden hue. On the nose, scents of mango, peach and pear are noted. On the palate, you’ll taste lemon, pear and some mineral, wrapped up with bright acidity.

Cono Sur holds firm in that their main goal is to produce quality, expressive wines in new world styles, and their Cono Sur Bicicleta Pinot Grigio 2014 is a good showing of that.

This wine retails at the LCBO for $9.90
