Deakin Estate Shiraz 2013 is the 5th and final wine in our wines under $10 feature this month. It is a Shiraz from Victoria, Australia and is one we have deduced as good value wine for the money.

On colour, the Deakin Estate Shiraz holds a near eggplant hue.  On the nose, scents of bell peppers, mint and assorted herb are noted.  On the palate, bursts of tannins, oak and spice come to the forefront at the start of your sip, and then taper quite quickly.

If you are looking for an affordable everyday red wine, then Deakin Estate Shiraz may fit your bill. It isn’t one, however, that I would recommend for your next hostess gift or dinner party, but it is a good value wine for the money.

This wine retails at the LCBO for $9.95
