Looking for a new summer white to adorn your patio?  I suggest you give Jip Jip Rocks Chardonnay 2014 a try.

Jip Jip Rocks Winery was founded in 1851 and is located in the Padthaway Valley, Southern Australia.  Though they are acclaimed for their Shiraz, their recent Chardonnay vintage is quite spectacular. The Padthaway Valley is one of Australia’s cool climate wine regions and we suspect that this is what makes this wine one of the best Chardonnay’s we’ve had from the area.

On colour, the Jip Jip Rocks Chardonnay 2014 holds a pale straw hue.  On the nose, fantastic scents of lemon, lime and honeydew melon are present. On the palate, you’ll be fascinated by the wines blend of citrus, pineapple and green apple, balanced with just the right amount of acidity.

While on the patio, I paired the Jip Jip Rocks Chardonnay 2014 with chicken, fresh off of the barbeque. With that said, this wine can stand up well on its own. No pairing needed!

This wine retails at the LCBO for $16.95
