I did not pick this wine for its label or varietal. I picked it because of its terroir. Les Lunelus Touraine Sauvignon Blanc 2014 is from the Loire Valley in France, and it has to be one of my favourite white wine producing regions in this country, aside from Alsace.
Loire Valley is located at the Loire River in central France, and the river itself plays a significant role in the climate and soil in the region. The region celebrates cool temperatures in the spring, which are followed by hot summers, providing a stable environment for grape production.
On colour, the Les Lunelus Touraine Sauvignon Blanc 2014 holds a perfect golden hue. On the nose, you’ll be pleased with this wine’s bouquet. It holds delicate scents of lavender, grapefruit and slight hints of pear. On the palate, you note lime, starfruit, and a hint of melon at the end of the mouth experience.
Les Lunelus Touraine Sauvignon Blanc 2014 is a bold white wine that yet plays on its delicacy. This is a must try!
