Westcott Vineyards itself comes with an interesting backstory. A vineyard lead by a husband and wife duo, revelling in the celebration of women in wine, a theme seen on the wine labels that adorn the winery walls, in the form of art.
I grew up in a family where we were taught that girls and women can do anything… that inclusiveness can apply to wine too. We have to make the wine culture one in which the best and the brightest, whether man or woman, wants to come here and make wine” Carolyn Hurst, co-owner Westcott Vineyards.
On colour, the Westcott Estate Chardonnay 2013 holds a deep golden hue. On the nose, delicate scents of pineapple, lemon, pear and slight raspberry are noted. On the palate, you’ll immediately notice finely balanced acidity, oak, pear and vanilla. This wine produces a truly lovely mouth feel.
Westcott Vineyards focuses on making Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the latter we have yet to try, but are anxious to.
This wine retails at the LCBO for $26.00
