Hardys Wines is a history rich winery located in South Australia. Its roots stem back to 1853 and accounts for a long line of family vignerons. Their portfolio of wines stem from white, rose and red, ensuring a wine style to suit almost any palate.  In this post, we’re covering their Hardys Butcher’s Gold Shiraz Sangiovese 2013.

On colour, the Hardys Butcher’s Gold Shiraz Sangiovese 2013 holds a solid eggplant hue. On the nose, cherry, soil, and bell pepper are noted. On the palate, big tannins, mineral, 90% dark chocolate, and licorice are found. This wine comes with a long and lingering finish and brings forth a light red berry taste if left to breathe for an hour. It is an ideal pairing with gamey meats.

This wine retails at the LCBO for $14.95
