With summer upon us, more and more we see the patio ready white wines come out and Gen5 Chardonnay 2013, from Gen5 Wines, is one such summer sipper.

Gen5 Wines is located in Lodi, California, which is just about 1.5 hours away from Napa County by car. As you can guess by the name, the winery has been in the family for five generations and it all started when the family great-great patriarch immigrated from Germany in 1870.  As an aside, the folks that produce Gen5 Wines are the same ones responsible for the LangeTwins line.

For five generations our family has lived and worked our land in Lodi, California, always striving to leave the land in a better state for the next generation. We strive to craft sustainable wines of outstanding value.

On colour, Gen5 Chardonnay 2013 holds a pale straw hue. On the nose, oak, citrus, apricot and mango are present. On the palate, mineral, green apple, lemon, mild acidity and light oak undertones, with a short to medium finish is experienced.

Gen5 Chardonnay 2013 is a definite patio sipper, especially due to its light and refreshing air.
