Cedar smoked salmon on the barbecue and a glass of chardonnay. Sounds heavenly right? Even more so, when you know the Chardonnay was from Bachelder Niagara Chardonnay 2013.

Bachelder wines and the Bachelder Project itself bestows such a fantastic story. With vineyards in Bourgogne, France; Oregon, USA; and Niagara, Canada, the experience of wine making in each terroir makes the next produced bottle, regardless of the region, that much richer.

We never meant to run away from our native Qu├ębec with our young family in tow, never meant to become wine gypsies: but, by doing so, we have been blessed to live and work in three of the most beautiful cool-climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir viticultural regions in the world: Burgundy; Oregon and Niagara.

On colour, Bachelder Niagara Chardonnay 2013 holds a pale wheat hue. On the nose, citrus, oak, spice, and apricot are noted. On the palate, bold acidity, oak, spice, apple, and lime are present. We found this Chardonnay to pair beautifully with grilled salmon.
