From a powerful wine house and a rich history as the winemakers who’s Cabernet Sauvignon won the 1976 Judgement of Paris, comes this beautiful Chardonnay, Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars Karia Chardonnay 2013. The word Karia is Greek for ‘grace’ and it explains this wine beautifully.
Our signature style has often been described as “an iron fist in a velvet glove,” a reference to the artful balance between ripeness and restraint, softness and structure, that yields Napa Valley wines of exceptional beauty and long life.
On colour, the Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars Karia Chardonnay 2013 hold a light golden hue. On the nose, lavender, grapefruit, and peach all blend to create a beautiful bouquet. On the palate, lemon, caramel, light oak, a metallic sense, melon and well-tempered acidity are found. This wine finishes on the palate with an elegantly structured burst of vanilla, mineral and darting acidity. This was a wonderful wine experience and worth every penny.
The Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars Karia Chardonnay 2013 could be drunk now, or could be laid down for a few years.
This wine retails at the LCBO for $40.25
