Southbrook Vineyards is known for being Canada’s first biodynamic winery. From their organic vine growing methodologies to conscious light glass bottles that aid in the reduction of fuel usage during transport, this vineyard is a leader in the green movement.

Southbrook is known for their red blends, fantastic Cabernet Franc and Chardonnay wines, such as their Seriously Cool Chardonnay 2015.

Seriously Cool Chardonnay 2015, is actually a blend of Chardonnay Musque (65%), Chardonnay (26%) and Riesling (9%).  What’s the difference between Chardonnay Musque and Chardonnay you ask? Adding the word musque in reference to any main varietal indicates that it is a clone of that grape. So, the Chardonnay Musque found in Southbrook Vineyards Seriously Cool Chardonnay 2015, is simply an intended mutation of the Chardonnay grape.

On colour, the Seriously Cool Chardonnay 2015 holds a light golden hue. On the nose, green apple, honeydew melon, and peach are present. On the palate, you’ll notice well-tempered acidity, melon, lime, and persimmon. We paired our Seriously Cool Chardonnay 2015 with an arugula salad, topped with baked chicken, avocado, and salsa.

This wine retails at the LCBO for $15.95
