With it being Cab Franc Day today, I decided to partake in a bottle of Viewpointe Focal Pointe Cabernet Franc 2010, and I did so with delight, given this grapes forgotten greatness. People often think of its child (Cabernet Sauvignon) as the hero of Cabernet, but if they gave Cab Franc a chance they’d quickly see its wonder.
Viewpointe Focal Pointe Cabernet Franc 2010
On colour, Viewpointe Focal Pointe Cabernet Franc 2010 holds an eggplant hue. On the nose, herb, plum, and green vegetables are noted. On the palate, blackberry, cherry, vanilla, tobacco, and green peppers can be found. If you let this wine breathe for 30 minutes, you’ll find that its fruit taste will round out on the palate quite nicely.
