Yarra Valley, located just east of Melbourne, Victoria, is Australia’s oldest wine-producing region. The first planting of vines in the Yarra is dated back to 1838. The region is known for its cool climate grapes such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Shoofly Pinot Noir 2015, is from the Yarra Valley and is a great showing of wines from the region.

Shoofly Wines boasts of a heavy hitting wine-making team with Ben Riggs (flying winemaker and the creator behind many Wirra Wirra vintages) at the helm. Shoofly sources grapes from five regions in South Australia; Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Langhorne Creek, and Yarra Valley. Each vineyard holds a finite focus on a varietal, allowing Shoofly to produce some stunning Chardonnay, Shiraz, and Pinot Noir wines.
